Multiple chequer chopping board - oak, tulip, iroko, sapele & ash woods

£125.00Price
Quantity

This is real handmade hardwood chopping board. The various woods are oak, tulip, iroko, sapele and ash. I saved the most heavily coloured tulip wood for this board which really stands out.

This is a full-thickness chopping board and it is come up beautifully with gorgeous contrasting grain patterns and colours. I'll definitely be making more of if and when I can source the wood.

Each board is finished with mineral oil and beeswax so it is completely food safe. This board has undercut routed edges so it doesn't need handles which gives it a different simpler look compared to some of my other boards which compliments the more complicated pattern.

Length = approx. 43.5cm,

Width = approx. 30cm,

Thickness = approx. 2cm.

Measurements to nearest 0.5cm.

As my shop's name would suggest all my products are imperfect as a sequelae of their individually handmade nature and the semi-thumbed shed-bound bloke making them but nothing is hidden in the high def pictures I post so.... WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get)!

Wood is a natural product and will take a small amount of ongoing care. Wash it by hand with warm, soapy water after each use, then dry it immediately. Avoid soaking the board in water or putting it in the dishwasher, as this can cause warping or cracking. For stubborn stains or odours one can use coarse salt and lemon juice as a natural cleaning and disinfecting agent. Finally, you can recondition the board with a food-safe oil from time to time to maintain its lustre and look.

N.B. nothing but the chopping board is included; knife etc for illustration purposes only.
